HOME CONSTRUCTION:
If you are performing any type of repair, renovation or alteration to your home or property, you must obtain a Town Construction Permit. Pick up the application and pay the required fee at City Hall. The application will be reviewed by the Zoning Officer, Eric Duff.

GARBAGE:
Garbage collection is mandated by West Virginia state code and municipal code. All residences must have proof of proper garbage disposal. Services are provided by Greenbrier Valley Solid Waste 304-645-1470.

All businesses in the City must obtain a Business License and are subject to either 1% municipal sales tax or the applicable B&O tax. Contact City Hall 304-445-2916 to obtain a Business License Application.

DOG LEASH LAW:
The Town of Alderson has a leash law. Dogs are required to be on a leash when they are not on their own property. Please recognize that dog ownership comes with the responsibility of cleaning up after your pet. Dog waste is a potential health hazard and a nuisance if not picked up. It does not just go away on its own. Dog owners are required to pay a license fee for each dog. Forms are available in the Assessor’s office at the Greenbrier County Courthouse at 200 North Court Street, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

TOWN COUNCIL MEETINGS:
Monthly Town Council meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 7:30pm in the Council Room of Alderson City Hall at 311 Monroe Street South (entryway located on the side of the building down the alley) and are open to the public. We welcome your attendance and input.
